Meet Chiyo
Hi, I’m Chiyo, and welcome to my little corner of the internet.
I live in Japan, where everyday life is full of little details that continue to inspire me — from quiet mornings and cozy homes to busy city streets, beautiful seasonal changes, and the simple pleasure of discovering something new.
I’ve always believed that you don’t need a perfect life to create beautiful moments. Sometimes it’s as simple as cooking a good dinner, finding a lovely café, decorating a corner of your home, taking a spontaneous trip, or spending a quiet evening with a cup of tea and a cat nearby.
A Life of Travel, Food & Cozy Moments
Travel is one of my favorite ways to get inspired. I love exploring new places, discovering local food, wandering through neighborhoods without a strict plan, and collecting those small memories that stay with you long after the trip is over.
But I also love coming home.
For me, home is just as important as the places I visit. I enjoy cooking, decorating, organizing, and creating a warm and comfortable space where everyday life feels a little better. I’m always looking for simple ideas that can make a home more beautiful without making life complicated.
And yes — there are cats involved. 🐈
They are very much part of my everyday life and, naturally, they have their own opinions about almost everything I do.

Some days I might be sharing a recipe. Other days it could be a travel guide, a home decorating idea, something I discovered while shopping, or simply an idea that made everyday life a little more enjoyable.
I don’t believe everything has to be perfect or follow the latest trend. I’m much more interested in things that are beautiful, useful, comfortable, and actually work in real life.

Living in Japan has given me a different perspective on everyday life. There is so much to notice here — seasonal traditions, food, design, small shops, beautiful craftsmanship, and the Japanese appreciation for making ordinary things special.
At the same time, this blog isn’t only about Japan.
